Portfolio > Cabinets

These kinetic and magnifying cabinets are designed for displaying special objects. Each cabinet has its own mechanism for opening and closing in an atypical way, prodding the curiosity of its audience. The cabinets with magnifying glasses invite people to see normally overlooked aspects of the object inside. When the door is opened one can see the subtle details and variations in the surface of the cabinet as the magnifying glass passes over it. Opening and closing the doors becomes an act that commands ones attention and satisfies a playful urge, and not just another everyday experience.
